Mixed Feelings: Wildflower and Milkweed Seed Balls

from $26.00

Can't pick? You don't have to.

Mixed Feelings is two kinds of seed balls in one gift. The wildflowers feed the bees, the butterflies, and everyone else who shows up. The orange and black milkweed raises the monarchs, because their caterpillars won't eat anything else. The rain and the cold take it from there.

It's a group project, and for once you're not the one doing all of it.

The wildflowers start blooming the first summer. The milkweed needs a long, cold winter before it'll do anything at all. You know the feeling.

How to plant them

Plant them together, Thanksgiving through January. Got them early? Keep them cool and dry until then. Press each one halfway into bare dirt somewhere sunny that's yours. Ground frozen? Set them on top. Then walk away.
